There are three different methods to uploading media for your website; this tutorial will teach you each method step-by-step. You can either upload media straight to the directory (options 1 & 2) or upload it into a file within your directory (option 3).
Uploading media by itself to directory (options 1 & 2)
On the purple ribbon to the left of your screen, select the “media” section. If it doesn’t already take you to the main page, click “media” at the top of the directory.
Uploading a file: From the previous photo, click on “file.” Follow the next steps with the numbers on the following picture.
Step 1: Click “Choose File.”
Step 2: Select your desired file.
Step 3: Click “Open.”
Step 4: Name your file
Step 5: Save your media file.
Adding a folder: Return to the main media page and select “create” and “Folder.”
Follow the steps with the numbers on the following photo.
Step 1: Give the file a name.
Step 2: Save your file.
Step 3: Find your new file in the media directory.
Adding an image: Return to the main media page and select “create” and “Image.”
Follow the steps with the numbers on the following photo.
Step 1: Select “Click to Upload.”
Step 2: Select your desired photo.
Step 3: Click “Open.”
Step 4: Name your photo.
Step 5: Click “Save.”
Step 6: Find your new photo in the media directory.
Step 1: After selecting a file, hover over the item and click on the purple bar. It will prompt you to “discard changes” or “stay on page.” Click “discard changes” (don’t worry, this won’t discard your file, but will bring you to a page to save it).
Follow the steps with the numbers on the following photo.
Step 2: Change the name of your file if you wish to.
Step 3: If your file is not a photo, then click “Save.”
Step 4: (photos only): rearrange your position preferences for different banner styles. Click “Save” when done.
Step 1: Select the file you wish to upload media into.
Step 2: Follow the steps from either option 1 or 2 from this article.
